I placed an order through the "Too Good To Go" app, a charity service that offers "leftovers" for a discount price. It took almost an hour by bus to arrive at the shop. I showed up about 15 minutes before the "window" was set to start and waited on the bench outside. About 30 seconds before the window was supposed to start, I stood closer to the main door anticipating entrance and an employee named Azul zoomed out to tell me that they were about to close. I showed Azul the Too Good to Go app and that the pickup window countdown hadn't even finished yet. He went inside and grabbed a box with two of the nastiest, soggiest, most undercooked pieces of pizza I've ever seen. I tried to suggest that they might want to change their "window" to a time when people who participate in good faith would actually be able to use the service they paid for, but Azul cut me off without letting me finish with a sharp "What!" I had to repeat myself three times for Azul to even partially understand what I was saying and he said they couldn't do that because those pizza slices were meant for paying customers. But I was a paying customer, I paid for these slices 12 hours ago and they were meant to be

Absolutely amazing. The pizza, service, beer selection, and employees were all outstanding. If I could rate this 10/5 stars I would. The employees go above and beyond to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. We will absolutely be back! Our order was a full deep dish (custom order), 2 beers on tap, and cheese garlic bread appetizer for $60 bucks.

Originally from Chicago didn’t expect to be able to eat Chicago style hotdog with fries and a pizza puff. I was super happy to actually eat this on my birthday! Thank you you lefty‘s for having two locations and “bringing” Chicago here to San Diego

I am glad we found this little hole-in-the-wall gem. Lefty’s has a Chicago flair, and is as unpretentious as it gets. They serve pizza by the slice, loaded fries, sandwiches and salads. A slice of the deep dish was sufficient for a meal, the combo Chicago beef & sausage sandwich was very good and plenty for two. Wait staff was fantastic and gave us some great recommendations for places to try.

BOMB! Quirky little place serving up some delicious pizza and other Chicago style treats. The deep dish pizza is on-point with the perfect crust-to-cheese-to-sauce ratio. The meat balls are tender and just amazing. Service was super helpful and friendly. Such a great little place.
